F1 Game 2020 Tips and Tricks

General Driving:

Purchase a Microsoft Driving Wheel. I understand that spending $35 can be a lot, but it will seriously help your pace and the feel of realism of the game. (Thank you +andrew heff for reminding me)

Brake late, that will be one advantage that you can always utilize regardless of how much faster the AI is.

Champion's Mode:

Kimi Raikkonen: Don't overdo it immediately, the car seems to have low ride-height, so don;t go too far up on the kerbs especially on the last few corners of the lap. This one is pretty straight-forward, just go as fast as you can. Remember to use the back-markers as a way to get DRS, and to also make sure you don't overdo it, which is easy in a high speed-low down-force track like Spa.

Lewis Hamilton:

Just pit. That's the main advice, because he's very far behind, and not so fast. Getting on to the right tires at the right time is crucial to winning. It's not so difficult, so focus on staying on track. If you do it on hard and he catches up to you, try to block him, if he still gets ahead of you and you have no other option, you can just spin him out. It's a bit cheap, but you'll win, so there you go.

Jenson Button; This is the most difficult one of all. Try and stay as close as possible to the cars in front. Stay on the gas and follow the line as much as possible during the safety car lap. Then, try to do as much as you can while staying pointed in the right direction. Then, just be patient, because the tires you're on become the faster tires after about two laps.

Sebastian Vettel: This is pretty difficult, but is just down to pace. Remember to levle out acceleration and the fastest lap should come to you.

Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher: Pretty straightforward, just drive your best and remember that you're on the better tires.

Ultimate Challenge: The track is the newest on the calendar so it will be difficult for most, but just focus on the chicanes mainly and it should be good. Also use DRS. Finally, don't try and overtake on the first corner, it's not easy at all.

Season Challenge:

The advice varies based on what difficulty you chose. Easy is, well, easy, so it's pretty simple to make extreme jumps. For example if it wasn't for me spinning in Silverstone with no flashbacks left, I would have won every race. You might want to do smaller jumps for realism's sake, but other than that moves from Caterham to Lotus should be possible. Medium is going to be more of a two-by-two affair, meaning that advancing by two teams is the best way to do so. For example: HRT to Caterham, Caterham to STR, STR to Sauber, Sauber to Lotus, Lotus to Ferrari or Red Bull or Mclaren. It actually depends on the game which car is fastest. For me it was the Mclarens, so I went with Mclaren instead of Ferrari or Red Bull. On Hard, you have to really push and focus on small, but important steps. You might not beat your rival in every single race, but winning the war is the most important. Lastly, if you can't move up, spin your rival, in order to beat them. Pick a better team, and ram the rival off, that is going to be the most effective way if your car is not up to pace.
