So recently Marussia announced that, probably due to Luis Razia's failure to secure a prime sponser, Bianchi would replace Razia at Marussia. This is important news, because since Massa has been rather lackluster driving for Ferrari, there is most likely going to be a spot open soon, and this seems like the guy to fill that spot. He has the connections to make the textbook F1 move-up. He starts at Marussia, next year he'll move to Force India, and then Ferrari. As well as the fact that Perez is no longer a candidate, so it makes his chances even greater. He would have to go up in steps however, because Ferrari does not like taking inexperienced drivers.
For right now, he is also a huge asset to Marussia. Marussia during the duration of Winter testing was showing that they had (relitively) good pace, constantly being on par with STR and Caterham. They also had some upgrades that they brought, which should be an encouraging sign. Which means that they are well on their way to securing their first points and Bianchi could definitely help achieve that. He's a really quick driver who has a ton of F1 experience (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4hONaZ8-W4), so he will fit right in and might even end the season ahead of a Toro Rosso driver.
