5 Most Important Drivers of 2013

5. Jules Bianchi

His claim to fame this year is that he will decide the fate of Marussia possibly forever. Consider this, if they manage P10, they could gain an extra 54 million euros. Now, that may seem minuscule when running an F1 team, however what it also does is take away 54 million euros from their main rivial, Caterham. So, the hopes for this now rest on Bianchi's shoulders, hence making him a crucial part of Marussia and the 2013 grid.

4. Lewis Hamilton

His situation is similar to Bianchi's, because this year and next year are going to dictate whether or not Mercedes will become a championship-winning team, or just a team that could have been. Hamilton should be able to help Mercedes greatly, and could rupture the placement of the top four teams by grabbing some podiums.

3. Romain Grosjean

Well... where to start...um, last year, he lost the championship for Alonso. Basically, if Grosjean hadn't crashed him out, Alonso would most likely have gotten enough points to bridge the 3 point gap that he lost the championship by. So this year, he could have the same impact if he continues to crash. However, if he doesn't and has a good season, he definitely has the pace to win the championship in the future.

2. Sergio Perez

He's finally moved up to a team that is competitive, but is he a hit or a miss for Mclaren? This season will dictate that. He could also change a lot if he is reckless, because now he has the car that will allow him to fight with the bigger players, and taking them out could have massive consequences. Not that he is a reckless driver. Anyways, he also now has the chance to fight for a championship, which is definitely important.

1. Fernando Alonso

Now on to the most important driver of the 2013 F1 grid. The reason is that he basically decides the drivers championship. He could step up and win, or fall short again. Hopefully for him, the car will be better this year. It most likely will, and hence he has a great chance to win the championship, thus making him the most important driver of 2013.
