3 Teams That Will Benefit the Most From the Break

3. Caterham

The green squad has had quite a bit of trouble in the first two races, they've suffered from a large amount of breakdowns and crashes in qualifying and practices. Their record in the actual race is great, having no DNFs and only one lost wing which was due to poor pit release timing.  Pic is clearly the better driver, beating VDG in every single session. They are now usually the team occupying the very back of the grid or occasionally beating Chilton in the Marussia. Two things are clear at this point in the season, Marussia is faster (can you confirm you understand this message?), and that Bianchi is going to be almost impossible to beat. Even if Caterham does get a better car, trying to beat the insanely fast Jules Bianchi will be difficult. However, of course, they should just focus on the car for now. Caterham (and back-markers in general) often  show up after the break with things like new wings of minor aero adjustments that make a huge difference. Expect Caterham's pace to increase in China.

2. Ferrari

Let's focus our attention on Massa's performance in Malaysia for a second. While most were mourning Alonso's DNF (and rightfully so), Massa was displaying Ferrari's issues. His tires were graining by the second lap and his laps were not that great. He was 13 seconds behind the next driver, Rosberg in 4th, and was closely followed by Grosjean throughout the race. They will be the last of the front-runners to get on top of their tire situation, but when they do, their real pace will show, and them winning the race in China is definitely a possibility.

1. Williams

It's no secret that Williams were not satisfied with any of their results in the first two races. Bottas barely beat out Bianchi in Malaysia, and Maldonado didn't finish, again. They are set to make some management switches, and the Williams team will be fighting through the course of the break to improve the car.
