Top 4 Drivers of the Sakhir Grand Prix

Wow. What a race.

This is one of those that feels like we'll be talking about it for a long time to come.

Enjoy the top four drivers of this weekend's grand prix.

4. Daniil Kyvat

Just want to give a quick shout of recognition to Dani for what he described himself as "a perfect race". Its been a generally abysmal final season of F1 for him; seemingly getting beaten at every turn by his teammate. Nevertheless, his recent form has improved, and he continues to show why Red Bull once thought of him as on Ricciardo's level.

3. Esteban Ocon

From one teammate-deficit driver to another, Ocon has sorely needed a result like this for a long time. Despite his form in the pink car, his form since going yellow has been nothing but blues. (Sorry...) And ever since he stepped in the car he's seemed like a fish out of water. This result largely played itself through strategy and timing, but driving to second in such hectic conditions deserves some respect.

2. George Russell

George. George. George. The talk of the town for the past week and a half proved his worth with a mighty drive at the Shakir Grand Prix. Toto said it himself: he might be in the car as soon as 2021. If impressing the team boss of the most dominant team in the sport means anything, then George has got his phone firmly by his side. From the front of the field to the midfield, and all the way back again, Russell proved that not only is he.a future race winner, but a potential champion as well.

1. Sergio Perez

How could it not be? On a day when all heck broke loose, Sergio rose to the top. People seemed to forget how difficult his climb to the front was. He had to overtake nearly every car in front of him on track. Within 9 laps he'd recuperated half the positions he'd lost after his lap 1 pit stop. When you think about how many drivers could have stepped into his shoes and finished with the same result: the answer is not many. Mega drive.
