Most disappointing driver: Lance Stroll
For once, Lance has pressure on his shoulder, and excellent starts aren't going to get him to where he needs to be. This will be disappointing because the pink Mercedes is quick, and to see Checo burn rubber while Stroll underperforms will make the return of Racing Point a bittersweet revelation.
Most surprising driver: Esteban Ocon
This isn't a bad or good prediction for how his season will go. As far as I'm concerned the only goal Esteban has is to beat Ricciardo on track. While most expect him to fall short, I'd imagine he will defeat him on points this season. Watch this space.
Most boring-ist driver: Gio
Never seems to get in any wrecks or Q3 shootouts. As a driver he keeps things calm and collected, and that's why he's not going to add much flair to the grid in 2020. This segues well into the next point.
Most disappointing team: Haas
For some, Haas is the reason they got into Formula One. The squad that bridges the gap between North American fans and a European sport. In short though, this hefty tag will fall on unprepared shoulders as Haas look to be sluggish back-markers once again this season.
Team to Root for: Williams
Unlikely they'll perform magic next season. But anyone rooting against this squad is just heartless. The second-most iconic badge of F1's paddock deserves a place here; every point should be a celebration.
Winner: Mercedes/Lewis Hamilton
I'll give it to you straight guys. Other platforms hype up Verstappen and Leclerc to generate interest in the upcoming season, but with no such financial ties in mind, it's clear and away who the favorites are for this season. This shouldn't;'t be viewed down upon however, he is going for greatness, and even if it is boring, you will be glad you could tell your grandkids about it.
