F1 Theory: Sebastian Vettel

It's been four years now of Vettel winning championships and by now, we have to ask ourselves, how does he do it? Well, who was the last dominant driver in Formula 1? Most would say Michael Schumacher, and a fact you may not know is that Schumi pioneered the importance of fitness in F1. It's now a proven fact that when two drivers are put against each other in the same car, the vast majority of the time the fitter driver will win. Fangio much before that pioneered smooth driving. So what has Vettel pioneered? Let's do this.

The Mind: Most likely you've heard of drivers referencing 'the zone' is basically when they are focused on nothing but driving, and probably don't even remember that anything else exists. If you think about it, it's a really deep concept, since humans' greatest feature is the mind and he's harnessed his mind to increase his driving potential to the maximum. Plus, after all the car is only a tool for the driver.

The evidence: When did Vettel win his first title? 22. What year is the human mind at full capacity? 22-23. He also had the most dominant season since Schumi in 2004, in 2011 at age 23. His qualifying routine is literally just eyes-closed concentration. Also, it only works for small-medium periods of time and his main abilities are one-lap qualifying and getting ahead on the first 3 laps, all short-term skills. Monks have used their minds to stop their hearts and to achieve seemingly super-human powers. It's simple yet so ingenious, and I believe one day all drivers will use this technique.

How you can drive like Vettel: Well, you probably cant drive exactly like him, but most likely the thing that will get you closest is music. While listening to your favorite song, you are extremely focused without knowing it, when you want to go fast, just listen to that song and concentrate. That will get you in the correct mindset.

Verdict: It is my idea so maybe im not the best to judge, but, extremely plausible is my verdict.
