2013's Important Champions

 Fabio Leimer: GP2 Series Champion

I don't know how much you've been following GP2, but it's been a wild ride this year, including a half-field pile-up at Monaco. Just at the front alone, Leimer has really looked like an impossible champion. The Monagasque Coletti gave him a good fight, and was beating him for a good portion of the championship, so his rise is comparable to if Alonso had overcome Vettel. It's a great boost to his career, since there have been 24 drivers graduated to F1 since 2005 from the series, most not even Champions. Also keep an eye on second place Sam Bird, he may come up again.

Daniil Kvyat: GP3 Series Champion

Looks like Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost isn't so crazy afterall, since he chose the Gp3 champion for a new driver, a smart move. Many drivers get caught up in the Gp2 abyss and waste priceless years towards a championship that won't guarantee much in the Formula 1 world (think Maldonado). At the extremely ripe age of 19, he is also possibly greatest long term investment available, he's still got 7 years until he's Vettel's age, so there's a lot there for the long run at Toro Rosso, and eventually Red Bull.

Kevin Magnussen: Formula Renault 3.5

The Mclaren 3rd driver showed some insane skills this season, presenting a serious case for him replacing the waning Sergio Perez. He won the championship by 60 points, and won 29% of the season's races (which is a lot for every series other than F1). He also secured 41% of the poles, which is the same as Vettel has at the moment.

Others:
Formula 3: Raffaele Marciell
Indycar: Scott Dixon
World Karting Championship: Max Verstappen
and...
Formula Ford: Daniel Cammish (who is currently winning by 244 points, 100% of the wins, and has 96% of the poles)
