Top Four Drivers of the German Grand Prix-Lance Harverye

4: Alonso

Solid drive again from Alonso, the Ferrari really seems off pace and he seems to be extracting the maximum out of that car like we saw so often in 2012. Not sure how effective they statagy to qualify on the mediums was given how soon they pitted him, Nice battle between him and Hamilton. Unfortunately he couldn’t catch Grosjean at the end for a podium finish and minimize the damage to his championship battle. Ferrari now have a lot of work to do if they want to claw back at Vettels and red bulls lead and stop them from running away with this championship , unfortunately for them, that’s not going to be the easiest of tasks given how strong the bulls have been.

3: Raikkonen

At number 3 because I think Grosjean drove a better race than him. Although he had a good start and pulled off some good overtakes on the two Mercs, If only the race was a couple laps longer he might have had the win, but his scrubbed set of softs didn't seem to be working that well for him, I guess it was a bit of a tricky decision from lotus to bring him in or to leave him out with 10 laps to go and the problems with his radio didn't make things easier.
2: Grosjean

Great race from the lotus driver considering his disastrous season so far, managed his tries perfectly especially his first stint on the softs, I do believe he could have challenged for the win, he was in a good position with a fresher set off tires until the safety car came out and spoiled the party due to a broken down Marussia rolling back onto the track and that allowed everyone to change to a newer set, obviously it was a strategic decision from lotus to bring Grosjean in earlier to force red bull to make a move unfortunately for Grosjean he didn’t do enough to pull off the undercut, after that I guess it was always going to be third given his teammate is fighting for the championship and was running in 3rd behind him, he did well to keep Alonso at bay towards the end.

1: Vettel

Not much I can say. Great comeback from he’s Silverstone DNF to extend his championship lead yet again much to the dismay of his tittle rivals, he deserved the victory, good start from second to win he’s home grand prix, managed he’s race and tires well and was clearly under pressure from the lotus's but held it together perfectly for the race win.
