Toro Trouble

While Ricciardo finishing 7th was pretty good, Toro Rosso has been inconsistent to say the least. Out of 10 possible finish opportunites (2 cars x 5 races), they have had four DNFs. That's a percentage of 40%. Almost as poor as Schumacher last year, who, even though it was obvious he didn't really care, crashed in the majority of the races. Vergne has crashed over 50% of the time (60% to be exact), and has been basically blocked from scoring points by either mechanical failure or Mark Webber.

Personally, I believe that Toro Rosso has more potential than these drivers are unlocking. While I have nothing against Vergne or Ricciardo, honestly, if you gave a Toro Rosso to Vettel, Alonso, Bianchi, Hamilton, etc. it could be fighting with Mclaren. They've proved it by being fastest in a few Q1 sessions, as well as being high in practice, and even though, obviously, most cars aren't going flat-out in those particular sessions, it shows that they have the ability to finish as high as P5. Just in their history, Toro Rosso has always been the team that can give drivers a car with potential to allow them to shine, hopefully these drivers can bring it out.
