Bringing it back to China, think of Mercedes. They had everything to prove. Imagine if they hadn't even qualified in the top five, that would have been pretty bad for them publicity wise. Williams is now in that position for Catalunya. Even though most are probably expecting less from them, they still have to at least score a point. Why? Well there is no real reason, but it's just to save face. Kind of like how Ferrari needs to finish high in the championship just because of expectations. I would say that they could finish as high as 7th. However, that may be proved wrong because I honestly didn't believe they would win the race at this stage last year.
What they really need is for both drivers to come together and give it their all in the next race. Bahrain was a turning point for Maldonado as he finished for only the second time this season, but he swept away all of Bottas' finishes in one race by finishing 11th. Bottas' best is currently 12th.
I think they will stand out because of they are a hardworking team and have two very dedicated drivers. I have faith that they will improve.
