Remember When?: 1950 Monaco Grand Prix

The 1950 Monaco was only the second Grand Prix ever. It was won by long-time championship wins leader Juan Miguel Fangio. Ascari came second, in the same track he would eventually be killed at a few years later. Monegasque driver Louis Chiron came third. Eventual championship winner Giuseppe Farina did not finish which was not uncommon in that race, with only 7 finishers out of 19 starters. It was the begging of a legendary relationship between F1 and Monaco.

Most importantly, it was the debut of Ferrari in Formula One (shown above). Their main driver was Ascari, who, as mentioned before, finished on the podium. That made the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix possible the most important ever.
