Monaco Grand Prix-Track Analysis

The Monaco track is famous for its close barriers and bumpy surface. These mean that DNFs and Safety Cars are a common occurrence in the principality of Monaco. Of course, the first corner, as sharp right-hander that often sees car into the wall on the wrong side of the track. The next major corner is the first hairpin. Cars are actually set up just for this corner. They adjust the amount of degrees the wheels turn to suit this one turn. Then, a few rights, and into the tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel is the main overtaking place, if you can even call it that. Last year there were nine on track overtakes, and the majority happened here.

Hopefully this year we can have over ten overtakes at least and less of a train. Let's hope Sunday's race is a good one!
