The Curcuit de Catalunya was a place of surprises last year. It gave Williams its first win since 2004, an 8-year drought. It also started off a string of good qualifying places for them, stretching as far as Singapore, where they qualified third. Beyond that, it was also where Ferrari began to be faster than Red Bull, and gain the majority of their final points. While I strongly doubt the return of Williams to the top step of the podium this year, there will be many surprises, and hopefully Mclaren will come back. This is definately a turning point in most seasons, it's where Red Bull started to fully dominate in 2011, and Ferrari in 2012. The obvious next question is who is going to start dominating in 2013? Well if we split the domination pie into 10 pieces and distributed it based on their odds of domination, it would go like this:

Red Bull: 3
Ferrari: 3
Mercedes: 2
Mclaren: 1
Lotus: 1

My pick (race winner): Fernando Alonso
Expert's pick: Alonso

Also, look out for offs and slips from the drivers. There are a lot of opportunities to slip, and the gravel there is unforgiving.
