Top 4 Drivers of the Chinese Grand Prix

4. Jules Bianchi

Man this guy is good. Particularly at the beginning of the race. He held off Vergne, fought with Bottas, and as if that wasn't enough, overtook Mark Webber (after he exited the pits/before he got the poor pit stop). His final finishing position of 15th was also something not to disregard, as once again, he was the last of the back-markers to be lapped. But wait, there's more! He actually, for pretty much the first time he had to genuinely battle with another car. He overtook Pic about 4 times, he was taken back in the other DRS zone three of the times, however in the end, he came out on top.

3. Jenson Button

The king of tire conserving strikes again. He used effectively the same strategy as Rosberg last year, in a race where people were doing 3 pit stops on average. He also managed a few defensive moves that when Vettel was in the same situation, was not able to pull off. Button also did not lock-up at all during the 56 lap race. All while crushing his teammate Perez, who failed to even score a point. It seems like he is going to be carrying Mclaren for this year.

2. Kimi Raikkonen

While battling with Perez near the middle of the race, he tried to overtake and was pushed to the outside. He lost control and smashed into the back of Perez damaging the front of his car. The first spectacular thing was his car control, similar to that of Massa in Singapore 2012 when he overtook Bruno Senna's Williams. He overtook Perez a little while later, then continued on. He merely asked for a downforce adjustment on his front wing, and kept going with a damaged car to finish 2nd. It doesn't get much better than that

1. Fernando Alonso

Tying Nigel Mansell for 5th on the all-time win list, Alonso won the Chinese GP in spectacular fashion. He overtook Hamilton early in the race and didn't look back. The only time he wasn't in first was either because of the pit-stop-cycle or when Vettel just went ahead of him as Alonso exited the pits, but either way Vettel was still disposed of on the next lap. At one point his margin was over 20 seconds, about 15% of a lap ahead of second place. Great job by both him and the team, a well deserved win (plus I predicted it).
