3 Car Makers that Need to be in F1

3. Honda

There are already rumors that Honda is going to come back into F1 as an engine supplier. While that's all good and nice, what would be even more awesome, is if the entered as a team. Picture it: They would have the benchmark of Toyota to go off of, and if they won a race or won the championship, Toyota would have to answer back. That would be the makings of a spectacular team rivalry. Additionally, it would support F1's initiative to gain more support and involvement in Asia.

2. Ford

The reason Ford should enter is similar to that of Honda. It could lure Chevrolet into the sport and create an especially fierce rivalry. Again, it would also increase involvement, but this time in America. Then, there's the fact that Ford never should have left F1, and they were part of possibly one of the most influential cars ever, the one that gave Michael Schumacher his first championship, the Ford-powered Benetton B194-8. The livery of blue and white would look spectacular on an F1 car, plus now they have sufficient reason to enter because if the new race in Texas and soon to be race in NJ.

1. Volkswagen

Where to start... well, consider if they entered Audi. Audi wins Le Mans (which they probably will for many more years to come), and Audi wins the Formula 1 championship. That would basically make you the king of all motorsport for at least that year, if not making you a legend forever. Entering Porsche would be just as intense because of their rivalry with Ferrari. Also let us not forget Lamborghini, who would also have a strong rivalry with Ferrari. Or even Buggati, who race back in the earliest days of Formula One. Or, just entering VW. It seems like regardless of what name they race under or where they end up in the championship, VW in F1 would be spectacular.
