First Look: Williams

Last year, Williams pulled out a miracle win in Spain. It was such a leap that some even said it was staged as a present for Frank Williams' birthday. Any chance of that happening this year? Well, let's take a look at the car. The front is similar to that of the Toro Rosso challenger and the exhaust and intake are extremely similar to the ones on the Caterham, hence meaning the exhaust will be an issue for them. The wing looks like the one on the Mercedes and the rear wing and suspension are similar to that of the Ferrari. So the Williams is a jumble of different cars' parts. However, that was probably their strategy all along. Since the regulations haven't changed much, changing the cars has been difficult. Mark Webber even said that it's like the cars have done 21 races. So, maybe Williams was struggling in particular to advance their car, and decided to use pieces of other cars by releasing their car at a later date. Which brings me to the fact that Williams will be lacking testing time because they didn't have the new car at Jerez. As mentioned in the last article, Toro Rosso and Williams should have some good battles, but Willams should come out on top.
