Coke Bottle Exhaust

Since at least 2011, the exhaust has been a huge talking point for all Formula 1 cars. The exhaust practically
won
Red Bull the championship that year. Last year, the exhaust was not as talked about as much, and it appears now, as
if it was more like a grace period, where teams were trying to figure out the best formatting. Like Lotus and
the Coanda exhaust in 2012. Now, in 2013, it seems as if a widespread trend has appeared among the field. The majority of the cars have adapted this type of exhaust (named because of its resemblance to, you guessed it, a coke bottle). The science of it is basically using the exhaust to flow air to the diffuser in a more passive way. It incorporates the same ideas as Lotus' previously mention Coanda exhaust. It seems like it's a big deal, the thre-time defending champions Red Bull, have shaped the whole sidepod to accommodate for it. My prediction: the 'Coke' exhaust will be a huge factor in the speed of the cars for the 2013 season. It will also get Coke a bunch of free advertising.
